Everyday We Must......

My Spirit and Conscience vs. My Feelings and Impulses.
                                            
                                  Everyday we must try and better ourselves.

Everyday we struggle, to stay in line.
Whether we want to go out, or finish that assignment we've been bullshittin' on.
To get with this person, knowing that he/she is freaky, or date that saint who everyone thinks is weird
To go to the club, knowing you might see your EX or that homegirl you wanna talk to.
Do what you parents say, or do your own thing.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said "Imitation is suicide."
But it is also said that you must "Find a way or make one."

We struggle to find our way in life, not because we are lost, but because we try and fight our upbringings, principles and conscience.

The picture above is an example I think we all can agree on.

This is the conscience we try and fight.
It says go left, we dart right because we may believe that it is wrong.
The conscience is that annoying friend who won't shut up but is forever right, trust it.

Seriously its sometimes the lazy, scared, free spirited side that gets us in trouble [-_-]
I'm sure it has happened to us all before though. But there are those of us who not to admit it lol

How do you feel when you look in the mirror? Regaining one self-confidence.

So I was by one of my friends to do a entry on seeing the you no one else does. Or metaphorically speaking, looking in the mirror. People sometimes look in the mirror in order give themselves a false sense of security (Everythings ok......., He/She's coming back......etc) And I mean sometimes it may work out, but there are "thoses times". The times its that one little that blows your self confidence out the water. The guy who you liked that went with the girl you hate. Or some chick blowing your head up, but only wanted your money. So your egos shot and you have no one to turn to so what do you do? Some lie, some do a self check and "look in the mirror". "But what if I don't like what i see?". Change it, its that simple. So in light of Beyoncé's recent performance, I have to say congratulations on the accomplishments following: 1) Being the first Black person to headline Coachella. 2) Creating another generation of fanatics who are willing to pay exuberant amounts of money to see something that they could get for free. 3) for possibly damaging a untold number of relationships that were probably on the verge of a critical mass meltdown in the first place. 4) for playing into a trending topic that has been going on for DECADES.
